Hey, everyone! This post comes a little late but it's still good to know. Last Veteran's Day was 12 November 2012. A lot of fine establishments will offer free or discounted meals to veterans. To find out which places, simply do a Google search of "Veteran's Day restaurant deals." Our search and a follow up phone call led us to the Olive Garden, where we got a total of 5 meals for $2.63 (someone ordered a soft drink, which was not free)!!
Now, the promotion is probably intended for those customers who are veterans that bring their fee-paying family members along with them, so in the end they make money. However, like the a**holes we are (haha), myself and 4 other lieutenants made our way to Woodbridge for some excellent, free chow! Om nom nom nom.

Here's a breakdown of our entire meal: (1) Cheese ravioli and all-you-can-eat minestrone soup and breadsticks - $11.75, (2) Sausage & Peppers Rustica and all-you-can-eat Chicken Gnocchi soup and breadsticks- $11.95, (3) Seafood Alfredo and all-you-can-eat salad and breadsticks - $15.95, (4) Cheese ravioli with meat sauce and all-you-can-eat salad and breadsticks - $11.75, (5) Soft drink, Cheese ravioli with marinara sauce and all-you-can-eat salad and breadsticks - $2.50 plus $0.13 tax + $11.75 for a grand total of $2.63!!! Needless to say, we gave our waiter a hefty tip for having to put up with us and also so we wouldn't seem like a bunch of deadbeat freeloaders! Hope you can find an awesome deal for next Veteran's Day! Yut!
